Maui County Travel Testing Program
All Travelers to Maui (even Island Hoppers) are Required to have a Negative Covid-19 Test, from a “Trusted Travel Partner” up to 72 hours before departing for Hawaii. While Covid-19 Testing prices vary, I’ve heard $120 (CVS Health). & 150.00 recently.
After arriving on Maui Hawaii, it is strongly encouraged that Test Program Participants take a Free test within 72 hours of their arrival. It is a sign of Respect here in Hawaii. That you care about the Islanders, not just the beautiful weather and scenery. You can Pre-Register for the Free Test by clicking this link. I have done the Covig-19 Test in Kihei behind Ace Hardware a few times and it was easy to sign up and did not take long.
The Free Test is for Visitors that took the Test before arriving and for Residents who want to take the test. If a visitor did not take the test and made it through the Airport Screening, they will Not allow you to take the Free Test.
The State of Hawaii is only accepting “Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) from a certified Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) lab test results from Trusted Travel and Testing Partners.
